Havelock's football team posted its third-straight game in which the defense allowed seven points or less as the Rams defeated Northeastern 29-3 Friday night in Elizabeth City.

A game that was added to the two teams' schedules further boosts the nonconference resume of the Rams with the win.

Havelock added the game to replace the season-opening game at Dillon (S.C.) that never was due to inclement weather.

Jaheim Lockhart had a 43-yard touchdown catch  from Andrew Frazier after the Rams' defense started the game off with an early safety.

Kamarro Edmonds had a rushing touchdown and Kamron Hoover scored on a pick-6 interception return.

Jaylen Budget also scored a rushing touchdown for Havelock.

The Rams improve to 4-1 and will travel to 2-4 West Carteret next week.
