Inshore fishing is producing catches of speckled trout, flounder and red drum.

Fishing at the nearshore rocks and artificial reefs is producing catches of Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, mahi, sailfish and amberjack. Offshore bottom fishing is producing catches of grouper, snapper, triggerfish, beeliners and black sea bass. Gulf Stream fishing is producing catches of mahi, wahoo, blackfin tuna, sailfish and marlin.

 

TOPSAIL ISLAND

Joe Johnston reports red drum are being caught on Saltwater Assassin Shad baits and Z-Man Minnowz.

The flounder bite is improving and the fish are being caught on live mud minnows and various artificial baits.

Captain Allen Jernigan reports red drum are being caught on topwater lures and gold spoons.

Speckled trout are being caught on gold spoons and topwater lures. Flounder gigging has been good until the past few days.

Captain Bobby Bourquin reports fishing along the Crystal Coast continues to be good.

Fishing at the nearshore rocks and artificial reefs is producing catches of Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, cobia, mahi, sailfish and amberjack. The king mackerel bite has really been good with many fish in the 40-50-pound range with one 70-pound king being caught. Offshore bottom fishing is producing catches of grouper, snapper, triggerfish, beeliners and black sea bass. Gulf Stream fishing is producing catches of mahi, wahoo, blackfin tuna, sailfish and marlin.
