Inshore fishing is producing catches of speckled trout, flounder, red drum, black drum and sheepshead.
Spanish mackerel are being caught along the beaches and at the nearshore rocks and artificial reefs. Nearshore fishing is also producing catches of king mackerel, cobia, amberjack, black sea bass and grouper. Offshore bottom fishing is producing catches of grouper, snapper, triggerfish, beeliners and black sea bass. Gulf Stream fishing is producing catches of mahi, some wahoo, some tuna, sailfish, white marlin and blue marlin. Some of the mahi have been really nice size fish in the 50-60-pound range.
Joe Johnston reports the speckled trout bite has been great early in the mornings. The best baits have been topwater lures. Red drum are being caught around the docks and throughout the marsh on Gulp shrimp and Z-Man Pogyz. Spanish mackerel are being caught nearshore on Clarkspoons and Big Nic Spanish Candy.

Captain Bobby Bourquin reports a great week of fishing along the Crystal Coast. Fishing at the nearshore rocks and artificial reefs is producing catches of Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, cobia, amberjack, black sea bass and grouper. Gulf Stream fishing has been red hot for billfish with excellent catches of blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish. Fishing along the Break is also producing catches of mahi, some wahoo and some tuna.

CRYSTAL COAST-SWANSBORO TO MOREHEAD CITY-INSHORE/NEARSHORE
Captain Chad Morgan reports fishing along the Crystal Coast been great. Inshore fishing is producing catches of speckled trout, red drum, flounder, sheepshead and black drum. The best baits have been live mullet and fresh shrimp. Nearshore fishing is producing catches of Spanish mackerel and king mackerel. The kings and Spanish are being caught on live bait and as well as casting jigs to them.

MOREHEAD CITY OFFSHORE AND NEARSHORE
Captain Bill Dillon reports Gulf Stream fishing has been really good is producing catches of mahi, wahoo, blackfin tuna, some yellowfin tuna, white marlin, blue marlin and sailfish. Captain Pete Rae and crew aboard Sweetums landed a 545.5 blue marlin on the 1 st day of The Big Rock this past Monday.
