ASHEBORO — The Fayetteville SwampDogs got back in the win column with a 6-4 triumph over the Asheboro Copperheads.
The Copperheads got an early lead, going up 4 runs in the first two innings.
Trevor Hafner grounded out to short stop, and Joey Wiemer scored for Fayetteville in the fifth.
Natale Monastra hit an RBI double to right field in the seventh for the SwampDogs' second run.
Fayetteville sent four home in the eighth inning to secure the lead over the Copperheads.
The SwampDogs will play the Sharks in Wilmington tonight at 6:05 p.m.
