Abortion supporters have twisted views
Editor: It disturbed me to read the article "The twisted foes of legal abortion," printed May 26. In the article this woman contends that all pro-lifers have twisted views, especially President Trump. I think it is just the opposite, abortion supporters have twisted views.
Scripture reads that when Cain killed Abel, Abel's blood cried out for vengeance from the ground. (Gen. 4:10) Since 60 million babies have been aborted in the US since Roe v. Wade there must be a lot of noise that the Lord God hears. It must be a deafening roar to Him. How does a God of love and mercy respond to that? How it breaks His heart! No wonder God continues to plead with America to stop the slaughter of innocents.
I watched "Silent Scream," an ultrasound film of a suction abortion of an 11-week-old fetus. In it you can tell the baby cries out for help. It is a scream of pain and fear, proving that a fetus is just like you and me.
When governments make abortion legal then they become as guilty as those that murder. Not only that, when they fund those that take a baby's life they are doubly guilty. As a citizen, I have an obligation to speak out against legal abortion, it's funding, and warn about it's negative consequences. Scripture says, "Open thy mouth for the dumb (those that cannot speak) in the cause of all such as are appointed for destruction." (Proverbs 31:9)
Fake news is nothing new
Editor: Fake news isn't a new phenomena, telling lies or haft truths to mislead people to bring about a desired outcome has been around forever. And sadly today's media and press are in on the deception, it seems that the main stream media doesn't see its own hand in its own destruction. As their market share drops like a rock, the public is seeing through their deceptions.
In the early 1950s, the CIA came up with an idea to pay the press and other media outlets to publish stories they wanted the public to know. Much of these stories were propaganda filled with lies and half truths, this operation was named Operation Mockingbird, it operated until 1976 when it was supposedly shutdown. But there are many who think it's still going on, under a different name but now the NSA and the State Department have joined in.
Freedom of the press is guaranteed by the First Amendment, but over time it failed to uphold its trusted position as a watchdog for the American people. It succumbed to human failures of greed, ego, pride and an overwhelming urge to be part of the story instead of reporting the story. A place where the reporters opinions are woven in to a news story with innuendos and half truths.
Mueller failed in his mission
Editor: Why do you undermine the time honored American principle that we are innocent until proven guilty by your running with “The Mueller Probe did not exonerate Trump”? That is totally extraneous and has no business being in the Mueller Report conclusion, nor your headline. The headline should have been “Report totally fails to address gross Russian meddling into election process.” Mueller’s charge was to investigate Russian meddling into our election process. Yet he totally ignored the Russian generated lies bought and paid for by the Clinton election machine. Why did Mueller not look at this glaring solicited Russian interference? Was it because nearly, if not all, of his investors were Clinton machine operatives? Mueller’s charge was not to exonerate anyone, it was to find the extent of Russian meddling and to determine if laws were broken. He wastes billions of dollars and totally ignores the crime. The cliche, “He couldn’t see the forest because the trees were in the way,” surely applies.

Where do doctors stand on abortion issue?
Editor: With all the demonstrations over abortions and women's right to choose, no one seems to be addressing what doctors feel about the whole issue.
According to my research on the internet, a fetus has a heart beat around 17 weeks after conception, is able to feel pain around 20 weeks. Part of theHippocratic oath is "to do no harm" and have the "utmost respect for human life from the beginning." Seems to me if a doctor murders an unborn child, he/she is violating that oath or maybe, following society's trend, starting back in the Clinton administration, oaths don't mean anything anymore.
The danger of revisionist history and media bias
Editor: There are a plethora of studies on schools from the elementary level to the university level. Studies on the media are as plentiful and available. The common threads in the studies should be a concern for all Americans:
The “New U.S History” (like the “new math”) is being incorporated in most of our educational institutions at an alarming rate. The problem: this “new” history is being rewritten, revised and interpreted by radical progressive who are successfully feeding students with misinformation. The end result is a social and political division in our country which ultimately could lead to tyranny. The brain is not fully developed until the age of 25. This impacts the judgment of younger individuals in terms of critical thinking and decision making (the executive part of the brain). It is estimated that liberal professors outnumber conservative professors by a ratio of 12-to-1.
The press (newspapers and TV news broadcasts) has similar findings consistent with the educational research. Journalists have a 13-to-1 ratio in their profession. The same can be said of TV news broadcasters (an average of 76-83 percent overall).
The end result: progressive educators the lame stream media are attempting to create an endangered species of conservative believers. The absurdity of the left’s behavior and irrational thinking is having the opposite impact on what the majority of the silent majority of conservatives thinks and believes.
We are all Americans with a mixture of beliefs. We are blessed with the freedom to hold these beliefs. I would encourage all to consider the facts outlined above to draw their own informed decisions.
Something to be said for local businesses
Editor: I totally agree with everything that Ralph Pollmiller wrote in the Thursday, June 6 issue of the Daily News in regards to Waste Industries. I have some of the same issues with Waste Industries after they took over Ray’s Garbage. I also received a letter stating there would be no changes in service. Yet within two weeks, I discovered a sticky note on my recycling bin, that indicated if I wanted to continue recycling there would be an additional fee and the pick-up would be every two weeks, not weekly. This was definitely a change in service. Ray's Garbage did the trash and recycling each week for $25 a month. I have tried many, many times to call Waste Industries, but the line is always busy, or I am on hold for 30 minutes or after leaving messages, no one returns the call. Something is to be said about small local organizations! Ray’s Garbage was always dependable, helpful and answered their phone!
By the way, my trash was not picked up this week by Waste Industries. I have tried the phone routine again and went online as well. Looks like it is time to contract out another trash/recycling company.
