LIBERTY — Rising Meadow Farm, 3750 Williams Dairy Road, Liberty, will hold Spring Open Farm Day on Sunday, May 5, from 1-5 p.m.

Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and set up under a tree or another shady spot. Then plan to go to the big barn and see all the lambs that have arrived, still with their mothers. There are other sheep to see along with alpacas and llamas. Don’t forget to see the free range chickens. Roosters Edgar and Charlie will no doubt entertain you with their crowing. Also, see a bee hive that is to be set up in the garden.

The Farm Store will be open with fleeces, roving, yarn, needle felting kits, felt and blankets. Lamb will be for sale in the Meat Room. Samples will be cooking on the grill.

On the same day, Goat Lady Dairy is having an Open Farm Day at 3531 Jess Hackett Road, Climax, just down the road from Rising Meadow Farm, so come to both farms.

Open Farm Day is a free rain-or-shine event. No pets will be allowed.
