ASHEBORO — Do you love color? Do you love the way oil paint glides across a surface when you apply it and move it with a knife? Then this two-day workshop is for you.
Participants will use wonderful color to create interesting and exciting abstract paintings and manipulate that color with a number of non-traditional tools. By mixing cold wax medium with oil paint, you are able to layer, make marks, scrape away paint and then layer again and again to create paintings with interesting textures and depth.
This class with Addren Doss is for ages 18 and up and has a minimum of five students. Cost is $150 for members and $170 for non-members. Enrollment deadline is Wednesday, July 11. Workshop will be held Wednesday-Thursday, July 18-19, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
To register, call the program director at 336-629-0399, ext. 22, or visit the Randolph Arts Guild, 123 Sunset Ave., Asheboro.
