William David Temple, 42, struck driveway culvert and overturned
The N.C. Highway Patrol has released the name of a man killed in a crash on Saturday on Temples Point Road outside Havelock.
William David Temple, 42, of 2195 Temples Point Road, died in the single-vehicle crash around 4 p.m. on Saturday, according to a release from the highway patrol.
According to the release, Temple was driving his 1992 C-3500 Chevrolet pickup truck when he ran off the right side of the two-lane road and struck a driveway culvert. The truck overturned and landed on its right side. Temple died at the scene.
No passengers were in the truck at the time of the crash, and no other vehicles were involved, according to the release. There was no indication if Temple was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Trooper D.M. Davis investigated the crash.
The N.C. Highway Patrol says no other information on the crash was available.
