Residents can offer comments about city's future at Thursday event
Havelock city leaders are looking for input from residents about the future of the town.
The Havelock Community Summit is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center.
The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for residents and business owners to have a say in planning for the future of Havelock. Comments and opinions given will help the Board of Commissioners and city staff develop a more comprehensive plan for the city’s future, according to a release from the city.
Topics are scheduled to include economic development, the proposed Slocum Creek waterfront park, public safety, recreation, quality of life, transportation, city infrastructure and city growth.
