Ronald “Ron” Earl Mewborn III, age 66, passed away suddenly on Saturday August 22, 2015.

A lot of inquiries as to the truth of this passing have been made from the community of those that are in disbelief. The passing of this great man is very real and true. It is hard to accept or understand but God had his reasons for taking him home.

Ron was the owner of Woodbridge Funeral Home and began his establishment in 1998. To those with concerns about Woodbridge Funeral Home, we will continue to operate under the teachings and compassion of this man. He will not be seated beside us but he will be sitting on our shoulder to ensure we are doing it the way he has always believed, with love, honesty, and mostly compassion for his clients.

He was a Naval Veteran, past president of the Havelock Historical Society, and once a member of the Havelock Civitan.

He is survived by the love of his life, Margaret Mewborn; three daughters, Angie Tyndall and husband Bobby of Deep Run, Debbie Ham and Lisa Burkett, both of Kinston; his sister, Martha Sue Marble of New Bern; seven grandchildren, and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Miranda “Randa” Tyndall.

For those that missed his memorial service, memorial donations in his name can be made to the church of your choice, a charity of your choice or: Sudan Shriners, 403 East Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560 or The ASPCA, American Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Thank you for all the love, kindness, prayers and support toward myself and my family.

Sincerely,

Margaret Mewborn
