Despite losing its last regular-season contest, the Havelock boys lacrosse team is scheduled to host a first-round playoff game against Cedar Ridge at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Havelock Recreation Complex.



The Rams finished the regular season with an 8-7 record. Cedar Ridge enters the playoffs with an even 7-7 mark.



Havelock made the playoffs despite a 13-12 overtime loss to Northside on Friday. Richard Fischer had six goals and two assists to lead the Rams, while Malik Brown added three goals and two assists. Ryan Pappas had two goals and an assist, and Nathan Crowe also had a goal. Jacob Hamilton had two assists and Lamonte Frazier had one.



Timmy Martin had four saves for the Rams, while Rease Dearing had one.
