A dozen players scored for Havelock as the Rams raced to an 86-37 Coastal 3A Conference victory over Swansboro on Friday night.



Havelock (7-7, 6-0) kept hold of the league’s top spot with the victory.



The Rams opened the game with a 19-4 run and were never threatened, closing the contest with a 21-5 run.



Five Havelock players scored in double figures, with Keion Joyner leading the way with 12 points. Jeremy Prichard and Devin Bryant each added 11, while Kyran Bowman and Khalil Barrett each had 10. Dallas Frazier added nine points.



Shondel Granison had 11 rebounds to lead Havelock.



The Rams travel to Richlands on Monday.

The Havelock girls pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Swansboro 42-34 Friday night.



The Rams (8-6, 5-1) struggled offensively at times in the game, scoring just seven points in the third quarter as Swansboro drew within 26-25. Havelock then used a 16-9 run in the fourth quarter to close out the Pirates (10-8, 6-4).



Apriel Barrette had 22 points to lead the Rams.



The Rams travel to Richlands on Monday.
