Swimmers qualify for state championships
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Havelock High’s Kelsey Bennett qualified for the state swimming championships in four events during Saturday’s 3A regionals in Goldsboro.
Bennett qualified for Saturday’s state meet in the 100-yard breaststroke and 100 freestyle. She teamed with Emily Snell, Christina Rudd and Abigail Clark to qualify in the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.
Rory Burke qualified for the state championships for the Havelock boys in the 200 individual medley.
The state 3A championships are Friday at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary.
