Havelock wrestlers win key conference match
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Havelock wrestling team knocked off a tough South Central team, 38-20, on Wednesday.
South Central entered the match boasting an 18-2 record.
The Rams (14-2) received pins from Matt Bogard (103 pounds), Christian Holleman (119), Mike Newby (130), Ray Davis (135) and Ben Farren (171).
Farren fell behind in his match 7-1, but rebounded to pin his opponent.
The match began with Charlie Millea's win in the heavyweight match. David Stone (125) and Thurman Green (189) also won their match.
With the victory, Havelock remains unbeaten in the Coastal Conference.
The Rams return to action Saturday to participate in a tournament at Eastern Wayne High School.
