West Craven keeps Rams winless in conference

“It has always been a down-to-the-wire game with Havelock whenever we play Havelock and we had to step up. This win was huge for us because we needed to get out of a rut we had been in and get some of our respect back.”

The Eagles improve to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the Coastal Conference, while Havelock falls to 2-6-2 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

“I really don’t know what happened to us tonight,” Havelock coach Jeremiah Johnson said. “West Craven stepped up and they were hungrier. We just need to keep playing to our level and not to the level of our competition.”

Havelock hosts White Oak Tuesday.
