Soccer team gets back-to-back blowouts

In back-to-back matches, the Havelock girls soccer team had back-to-back blowouts.

Havelock defeated Richlands 8-2 in a Coastal 3A Conference match on Thursday at Havelock High. The day before, the Rams handled West Craven 9-0.

With the victories, the Rams improved to 8-2-1 overall and 5-2 in the league.

Against West Craven, Amanda Alexander and Kelsey Alexander each had a pair of goals to lead the Rams, while Quiahnna Burt, Dominique Martinez, Janae Mays, Jordan White and Taylor Self also tallied goals for Havelock.

Individual statistics were unavailable for the Richlands contest.

The Rams are off for Easter break before returning to face White Oak at 6:30 p.m. April 22 in Jacksonville.
