After losing six games in a row, the Havelock Rams now find themselves on a winning streak.
The Rams beat Richlands 9-7 for their second consecutive victory in a Coastal 3A Conference game Thursday night at Havelock High.
The Wildcats scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning to draw within 7-6, but the Rams (6-8, 2-5) responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame, putting the game away.
Josh Little was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Rams at the plate, while Justice Provencher, Tanner Johnson and Matt Gray each had a hit and RBI. Cameron Carpenter, Travis Sabdo, Ryan Helms and Ryan Lewis also collected hits for Havelock.
Carpenter went 5 2/3 innings to get the victory, allowing 10 hits and six runs while striking out five. Christian Crowe gave up a run on two hits with a strikeout in earning the save.
Havelock is next scheduled to play Northern Nash as part of a three-day Easter week tournament at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Guy Smith Stadium in Greenville.
