The 5-foot-7, 160-pound Duvall had a 60-yard touchdown run called back on a penalty during the game.

“He’s done a great job,” Bryant said of Duvall. “He’s worked at two positions, our H-back and tailback. He probably would have had over 100 yards rushing without the penalties.

“But he’s got great hands. He was our starting tailback on the JV last year, and he’s transitioned to playing one of our slot receivers, and he’s doing a really good job.”

Cooper scored on a 1-yard dive in the third quarter, his final play of the night, giving the Rams a 34-0 lead.

Stevie Green had a 2-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for Washington to account for the final margin.

Havelock’s defense made key plays to keep the Pam Pack out of the end zone for three quarters, including stopping a Washington drive at the 6-yard line. Washington also missed a field goal. The Rams got sacks from Michael Bowman, Harry Caldwell, Deshone Godette, Kendall Vickers, Akenno Godette and Julian Cuthbertson.

“Defensively, we gave up some yards and some first downs,” Bryant said. “We had our backs against the wall several times in the first half, but we toughened up at the goal line and didn’t let them score.”
