Just because they are exhibition games doesn’t mean Havelock Noah Kemble won’t go all out.

Kemble, a senior, will cap his illustrious high school soccer career with a pair of all-star games this summer.

On July 12, he will compete in the Clash of the Carolinas – an all-star game that pits the top players from North Carolina against the best from South Carolina – at Blackbaud Stadium in Daniel Island, S.C.

Then, 10 days later, Kemble will join the East Squad in the East-West soccer match in Greensboro.

“I’m going to give it my best,” Kemble said. “Just because it’s a so-called ‘friendly match,’ doesn’t mean I’m not going to work hard for it.”

Kemble has scored more than 80 goals in four varsity seasons at Havelock. He scored 20 this past fall.

“It’s definitely an honor. I’m really humbled by the opportunity,” Kemble said of the games. “I thank God every day for the opportunities I’ve had, especially coming from this area where soccer isn’t really the highlight sport.
