The Journey of Hope Golf Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday at Carolina Pines Golf and Country Club.
The tournament supports the Journey of Hope Cancer Support Center, a nonprofit organization operated under the Coastal Carolina Health Care Foundation. The organization serves Craven, Carteret, Jones, Pamlico and Onslow counties and is designed to help patients and families cope with the emotional, physical and psychological effects of cancer. Journey of Hope offers financial counseling, transportation assistance, support groups, educational programs and exercise programs.
The format of the tournament is four-person superball with handicap. The cost is $50 per player, with team or individual participation available.
Registration is scheduled for 11 a.m. with tee time at noon. Mulligans and red tee busters will be available.
A cookout follows the tournament, which includes a beverage cart on the course, closest to the pin and closest to the line prizes, door prizes and a raffle.
Rain date for the event is June 14.
Registration forms are available at Carolina Pines Golf and Country Club, which is located off U.S. 70 between Havelock and New Bern.
