Jordan has tallied five catches for 55 yards and a touchdown offensively, to go along with 24 tackles, two pass breakups and a forced fumble from his cornerback position.

Jordan said he appreciates knowing that his brother is on the field.

“I know he’s got my back,” Jordan said. “He’s playing deeper than me, and it’s just a good feeling knowing that he’s back there and knowing that if I mess up he’ll be right there to clean it up or to give me some help and to give me some motivation if I do miss a tackle or mess up.”

The duo is part of a Havelock defense that has given up just five touchdowns through eight games with four shutouts.

“It’s the brotherhood we have,” Jordan said of the reason behind the defensive success. “Everyone trusts each other. Everybody loves each other. We just know that everybody’s good enough to play their position, so we just have to worry about doing our jobs and doing what we know we can do, and it just all comes together.”

The twins said that they don’t try to pull any twin pranks, but admit they accidentally switched jerseys during a junior varsity game as freshmen.

“We got our jerseys mixed up and we didn’t know who was supposed to be 80 and who was supposed to be 81,” said Julian, who wears No. 80. “I ended up wearing his jersey, so we got all our stats mixed up, but we got it right now.”
