Havelock went on a 7-0 run to start the second half, pulling away after a 21-21 halftime tie, to beat Richlands 57-39 in a Coastal 3A Conference game Friday in Richlands.

The Rams improved to 10-5 overall and 7-0 in the conference.

Kyran Bowman had 27 points and was the only Ram to hit double figures.

Ten players scored for the Wildcats (2-16, 1-6), but none had more than six – and yet they were very much in the game at halftime.

“We played well the first half. We matched them bucket for bucket,” coach Glenn Kellum said. “The second half, I wished we hadn’t had a halftime. I wished we could have just kept playing.”
