Dominique Martinez and Natalie Johnson scored two goals apiece to lead Havelock’s girls soccer team to a 6-2 victory over Cleveland in the first round of the 3A state playoffs.
Lauren Seegel and Ashley Bickel tallied the other goals for the Rams.
Assisting in scoring Havelock’s goals were Johnson, Martinez, Taylor Self and Erica Quinn.
Goalkeepers Caitlin Annunziata and Amanda Alexander combined for 11 saves.
Havelock (15-7) entered the contest as the fourth seed from the Coastal 3A Conference and handed Cleveland (18-2) just its second loss of the season
Havelock is next scheduled to play White Oak at 6 p.m. Thursday in Jacksonville.
