"I went hard every play and tried not to pay any attention to it," he said. "If I act like I don’t have any offers, it makes me go harder."

Once he was finished working out, a Kent State coach approached Woods.

"He said he liked what I was doing and he liked my footwork," Woods said. "He told me to keep doing good things. They offered me on the spot."

Woods said the best part of the trip was checking out the facilities at Ohio State, and getting to talk with Buckeyes’ quarterback Braxton Miller.

"(The campus) was huge," he said. "They had nice facilities. We got to see their hall of fame and see Archie Griffin’s Heisman Trophy."

Woods will visit UNC-Charlotte for its camp on July 17.

Woods ran for 757 yards and 10 touchdowns, while hauling in 15 receptions for 141 yards to help the Rams win their second straight 3A state championship in December.
