Havelock High graduate Pharoh Cooper has been switched from defensive back to wide receiver for the upcoming season with the University of South Carolina.
He revealed the new plan on his Twitter account.
"Wellllll.. there has been a change of plans.. I’ll now be playing WR from here on out!!," he tweeted.
He also said he would be wearing jersey No. 11.
Cooper played wide receiver as a junior at Havelock, catching a pair of touchdowns in the state championship game. During his senior campaign, he played quarterback and safety and was named the Most Valuable Player as Havelock won another state title.
