“I think my speed increasing this year from last year is where I have improved as a runner the most. I was running a 4.6/40 last year and this year I’m at a 4.45 and it helps me big time getting to the outside and outrunning the defense.”

Cooper added a five-yard rushing score to go with his highlight-reel punt return. He threw for 127 yards and rushed for 39 on four carries.

The Rams will host another Coastal 3-A Conference foe on Friday when the Washington Pam Pack come calling to Rams Stadium.

“Washington is a really good team. We were able to beat them 34-7 in the regular season and they did a good job running the clock and keeping our offense off the field, but we’ll get to practice this week and prepare for them,” Bryant said.
