Havelock girls soccer shuts out West Craven

The Havelock High girls soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 6-0 victory over West Craven Thursday at Havelock High.

The Rams are scheduled to begin the state playoffs next week, but brackets have not yet been released.

Against the Eagles, Havelock scored four goals in the first half and added two more in the second.

Ashley Bickel scored two goals to lead the Rams, while Dominique Martinez and Natalie Johnson each had a goal and an assist. Amanda Alexander and Aliyah Cruz had Havelock's other goals. Laureen Seegel had two assists, while Erin Schulte and Quiahnna Burt each had one.

With the victory, the Rams improve to 14-7 overall and 9-5 in the Coastal 3A Conference.

On Wednesday night, Havelock defeated West Carteret 6-2.

The Rams got three goals from Martinez and two from Johnson. Erica Quinn also added a goal for Havelock.
