Eastern Tumble and Cheer squads from Havelock qualify for national competition

Two cheerleading squads from Eastern Tumble and Cheer in Havelock placed at a recent competition in Greensboro and qualified for a national competition in March at Disney World. The junior level 2 team placed first in the Universal Cheerleaders Association Carolina Championship, while the mini-level 1 squad finished third.

Two all-star cheerleading squads from Eastern Tumble and Cheer in Havelock recently placed at a competition in Greensboro and have qualified for a national competition next year at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

The level 2 team in the junior age division for ages 14 and under took first place in its division at the Universal Cheerleaders Association Carolina Championship held at the Greensboro Coliseum. Meanwhile, the mini-level 1 team from ETC finished in third place.

With the finishes, the cheerleaders qualified for the UCA national championship competition scheduled for March at Disney World.

Members of the two teams include, Alyssa Wallace, Phoebe Singh, Alyssa Brashear, Neriah Chadwick, Hannah Carney, Haley Braun, Britnie White, Lizzie Hargett, Rhiannon Tate, Tyra Cunningham, Sam Sanchez, Tayah Walker, Justin Sabdo, Chalein Ponder, Abrielle LaPalm, Emily Anderson, Kayla Brashear, Jordan Bartell, Emily Keith, Kendall Breckenridge, Aurora Wylie, Analeigh Grumbein, and Journi Ponder.
