Havelock High to host baseball tournament
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Havelock High School has scheduled the 17th annual BB&T Crystal Coast Easter Classic baseball tournament for three days beginning Monday.
This year's tournament has an east-west feel to it as the host Rams, New Bern and East Carteret will take on three high school teams from the western part of the state in Eden Morehead, Rockingham County and Northwest Guilford.
On the first day of the tournament, Eden Morehead plays East Carteret at 1 p.m., followed by Rockingham County and New Bern at 4 p.m. Havelock completes the opening-day schedule by playing Nortwest Guilford at 7 p.m.
Havelock plays Eden Morehead at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with other games following at 4 and 7 p.m. The March 26th schedule will be determined.
Single-day tickets cost $5, and tournament passes $10. Concessions will be available for purchase, so no outside food is allowed.
The tournament serves as a fundraiser for the baseball program and booster club.
