WILMINGTON — The Fayetteville SwampDogs won both games against the Wilmington Sharks on Thursday night.
In the first game of the night, Fayetteville's Brett Young hit an RBI single in the second for the 1-0 lead.
Young would score on a fielding error in the fifth, and AJ Hrica would score off Javon Martin's ground out to short stop.
The Sharks mounted a comeback, with Paxton Wallace hitting a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth.
Danny Wilson hit a RBI single in the seventh to get the Sharks within one, but Wilmington wouldn't get another run in. The final score was 3-2.
Harry Thomas had a great showing on the mound for the SwampDogs in the second game, pitching a complete game and getting 11 strikeouts.
The SwampDogs had two runs in the fifth, Jay Hayes doubling to left field for an RBI and Trevor Hafner hitting an RBI single for the final score, 2-0.
