Waldron Street Richardson Jr., 93, of Clinton, formerly of Havelock, died in Raleigh on March 6.

Richardson worked for 38 years for Carolina Telephone Company and helped install the first telephones in Havelock and MCAS Cherry Point.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Nobles Richardson; sons Craig Richardson and wife Kay of Clinton, and Tim Richardson and wife Vicki of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  

The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Redmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery

The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church from 1:30 until 3 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at his home.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 208 Sampson St. Clinton, N.C. 28328 or to Clinton Lions Club c/o Diane Westerbeek, 40 Windy Lane, Clinton, N.C. 28328.

Arrangements are by Royal-Hall Funeral Home.
