Sequita Mylon Sutton, 28, of 4915 Arcadian Court, Raleigh, and formerly of the Mansfield community, Morehead City, died on Monday, May 27, 2013, at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City.
She was a 2002 graduate of West Carteret High School and a 2006 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, earning a BS degree in psychology with a minor in African-American studies. She was employed with the Xerox Corporation as a calls specialist technician. She was a lifetime member of St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was a member of the choir, a class leader, Sunday school teacher and a member of the YACM Committee.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark AME Zion Church with the Rev. Gethsemane Hill officiating.
Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by her parents, Gregory L. Daugherty and Maxine L. Sutton of Morehead City; two brothers, Aubrey Godette of Havelock and Damien K. Daughtery of Morehead City; and four sisters, Natasha S. Davis of Raleigh, She’lena K. Sutton of Morehead City, LaWanda Bell of Greensboro and Sabrina Jones of Esparto, Calif.
The family will receive friends at 114 Luther Road, the Mansfield community, Morehead City.
