Marcia Lynn Kling, 70, of Havelock, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern.

She served in the Marine Corps and was also a foster parent and Girl Scout leader. Her interests included gardening and bowling.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Quantico National Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harry A. Kling; two daughters, Yvonne Duncan of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jessica Lidgett of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons Eric M. Kling of Raleigh and Brian Kling of Simpsonville, S.C.; five brothers, Dennis Terry and Ronald Terry of Seneca, Ill., Steven Terry of Gardner, Ill., Allen Terry of Chicago, and Leonard Terry Morris, Ill.; six sisters, Sharon Sanders, Kimberly LoBianco, Jennifer Legner and Amy Cassem of Morris, Ill., Kristen Sheedy Gardner, Ill., and Laurie Hudson of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotten Funeral Home, New Bern.
