Manley “Ed” McLawhorn, 61, of Morehead City, passed away Monday July 1, 2014.
Mr. McLawhorn retired after 35 years of service with Carolina Telephone and was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church of Morehead City. He was an active volunteer in the community throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday July 3, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church of Morehead City with Rev. Timothy J. Havlicek and Don Arthur officiating. Burial will take place privately at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
He is survived by his daughter, Monica Rae Williams and husband, Tyler of Cary; two sisters, Carol ReDavid of Virginia Beach, Va.; Janet McBride of Raleigh; half-brother, Walt Adams of Havelock; and grand dogs, Slade and Fenway.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Eborn McLawhorn; mother, Marie Truitt Adams; stepfather, Walton Adams.
