James Julian Griffin

HAVELOCK - James Julian Griffin, GySgt USMC (ret.), age 70, died at Carolina East Medical Center on November 7.

He served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. Upon his retirement from the Corps, he drove a taxi cab for Carolina Cab Company.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be Friday at noon at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery, 110 Montford Point Road, Jacksonville.

He is survived by his wife Lois Griffin; one son, James Griffin Jr. and his wife Beckie of Havelock; one daughter, Nichole Griffin-Cratch of Havelock; one brother, Franklin Griffin and his wife Grace of Artesia Calif.; two sisters, Alma Hastings of Augusta, Ga., and Runetta Rigdon and her husband Jimmy of Augusta, Ga.; and three grandchildren, James Griffin III, Rosemarie and Erin.

The Griffin family entrusted their services to Woodbridge Funeral Home.
