Devorn Frazier, 84, of Havelock, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Newport.

He was a native of the Craven Corner community, member of Craven Corner M.B. Church and formerly employed in Cameron, La., and Long Island, N.Y., and for Beaufort Fisheries as a fisherman.

Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Craven Corner M.B. Church with the Rev. Bakari Johnson officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Bryant Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Manigo Frazier of Havelock; five sons, Kevin Frazier of Ocean Springs, Miss., Willie Frazier of Moss Point, Miss., Vance Frazier of Fort Sumter, Ga., Hosea Frazier of Havelock, and Paul Frazier of Morehead City; eight daughters, Latricia Harris and Diane Stevens of New Bern, Brenda Carter of Rochester, N.Y., Evelyn Thomas and Frances Goins of Moss Point, Miss., Leona  Cochran of Prichard, Ala., and Gail Frazier and Sandra Cook of Ocean Springs, Miss.; two brothers, Linster Frazier and Archie Dale Frazier of Havelock; one sister, Clora Brown of Havelock; 41 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the residence of Hosea and Gloria Frazier 1717, Blades Road, Havelock.

Arrangements are by Oscar’s Mortuary, New Bern.
