Bernard Walton Keroack, Jr., 79, of Havelock, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his home.

A private graveside service with Military Honors will be held.

Mr. Keroack was a retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 from the U.S. Marine Corps and served in both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He worked for Servair on base at Cherry Point and also for Sears in New Bern and Havelock. He was past president of the Booster Club at Havelock High School and was active in the Crystal Coast Radio Controllers.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene Keroack of the home; daughter, Catherine Conners of Havelock; three sons, Gary B. Keroack and wife Lynn of Jacksonville, Fla., Stephen R. Keroack of New Bern, and Scott A. Keroack and wife Sheila of Swansboro; sister, Sue Kannally of New Portland, Maine; three granddaughters, Emily, Lauren and Tiffany; and grandson, Nathaniel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Dr., Greenville, NC 27834 or the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
