GRAY COURT - Alicia Ann Goldman Sheehy, 77, of 2120 Highway 101 North, died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at her home.
Born in Lincoln County, Ga., March 19, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Olin and Alice Tatom Goldman. Ms. Sheehy formerly owned and operated Crafts by Alicia in Havelock, N.C., where she lived for nearly thirty years, before moving back to Greenwood in 1995. She made the most beautiful crafts imaginable, but especially enjoyed making Christmas ornaments that were highlighted and admired through a story in the Index-Journal. She loved being able to give them away to family and friends.
Ms. Sheehy was preceded in death by a brother, John Reed Goldman; and infant son, David Mart Sheehy.
Survivors include her son, Richard Sheehy and wife Karen of the home; grandchildren, Kayleigh Sheehy and husband Benjamin Perry of Ware Shoals, Carley Bryson of Myrtle Beach and Kason Rosser and husband Sammy of Due West; great-grandchildren, Colton, Liam and Addie Grace Sheehy-Perry, all of Ware Shoals, Kelly Bryson of Myrtle Beach, and Savannah Bryson and Hunter and Chase Rosser, all of Due West.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tina Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Goshen Baptist Church in Lincolnton, Ga.
The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.
