Albert Gianotti, 88, of New Bern, died on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013.

He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was employed as a civilian with the Department of Defense, working at Cherry Point and the Pentagon. He was a 33 degree Mason.

Funeral was Monday at First Baptist Church, New Bern, with the Rev. Richard Seagle officiating.

Burial with military honors was at Greenleaf Memorial Park, New Bern.

He is survived by one son, Thomas Albert Gianotti of the home.

Memorials may be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, or the Shrine Hospitals for Children.

Arrangements are by Pollock Best Funerals and Cremations, New Bern.
