The N.C. Department of Transportation is scheduled to replace the traffic signals Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Greenfield Heights Boulevard and Catawba Road.
The work is expected to begin at 10 a.m. after the morning rush hour and last about two to three hours. During the work, Havelock police officers will be on the scene manually operating the traffic signals and some lanes may be closed at times during the process to allow for the old signals to be replaced with new ones.
Havelock police urge that drivers use caution in the area as some traffic delays are possible.
