Railroad crossing repairs to close part of Belltown Road

A portion of Belltown Road is scheduled to be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday as the N.C. Department of Transportation makes repairs to the railroad crossing.

The work may take less than the expected two days, and if that does occur, the closure may be less than two days. The road will open once the work is completed.

Drivers who normally use Belltown Road can instead use Woodhaven Drive, off East Main Street next to First Citizens Bank, as an alternative route.

Havelock officials also plan to block the entrance to Park Lane off Miller Boulevard on Wednesday to repair stormwater drainage. Those trying to access businesses on Park Lane from Miller Boulevard can use Trader Avenue or Jackson Drive and the service road off West Main Street. The closure is expected to last one day.
