Two other men are subject of search tonight in Harlowe

One man is in custody and two are being sought by police following an armed robbery and seven-mile high speed chase Wednesday evening.

According to Havelock Police Chief G. Wayne Cyrus, a person was robbed at gunpoint shortly before 4:51 p.m. in the vicinity of Pine Villa Apartments in Havelock.

The victim called 911 and followed the suspects in their vehicle along McCotter Boulevard until police were on scene.

According to Cyrus, officers then attempted to stop the vehicle on McCotter, but the suspects refused to stop.

A high speed chase ensued on N.C. 101 as three Havelock officers pursued the vehicle   all the way to Temples Point Road.

The driver and two occupants stopped their dark blue Nissan Sentra in front of a home at 1002 Temples Point Road and fled into the woods.
