A Newport pair has been arrested on charges of selling methamphetamine.
Carteret County deputies on Wednesday arrested Jeremy Delgatto, 39, and Ashley Barr, 30, both of 125 Gray Road, Newport, in connection with the sale and distribution of methamphetamine to detectives several times, according to a release from Carteret County Sheriff’s Office.
Delgatto is charged with three counts selling and delivering methamphetamine, three counts possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II narcotics and two counts conspiracy to sell and deliver methamphetamine, according to the release.
Barr is charged with two counts of conspiracy to sell methamphetamine, according to the release.
Delgatto and Barr remained at the Carteret County Jail on Wednesday. Delgatto was held on $30,000 bond, and Barr’s bond was set at $10,000.
Initial court appearances are scheduled Thursday morning.
