A Newport man has been accused of raping an 11-year-old girl.
Lenin Ramon Garcia, 31, of Timberwoods Drive, was arrested Saturday and charged by the Carteret County Sheriff’s office with four counts of first degree rape of a child, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
Garcia is accused of raping the 11-year-old girl, who deputies say he knew. More charges are expected for an additional alleged victim, according to the release.
Garcia’s bond was set at $500,000.
The sheriff’s office is not releasing any further details about the case.
