Workers with S&ME conducted a second round of soil and water testing last week at an old dump site in the Woodhaven subdivision.

Previous tests revealed high levels of iron and arsenic in the soil as well as traces of other chemicals.

Those results prompted the state to seek another round of testing to determine if the old dump is a health risk.

The area of the old dump site includes areas of Belltown Road and Tall Pine Road.

Property owners have said they are dealing with holes in their yards as soil settles around debris, which neighbors say they have pulled out of their yards. They have gone to city and state officials about the problem and have complained that the state is moving too slowly.
