Havelock police are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store clerk while armed with a knife last week.
The robbery occurred at 9:50 p.m. March 19 at the Super Expressway at 807 East Main St., in Havelock.
Havelock Police Chief G. Wayne Cyrus said the clerk was not injured and that suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Cyrus said a black man, about 5-foot-10 with a stocky build, dressed in all black, a hood over his head, sunglasses and a bandana across his face entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, displaying a knife that had a three- to four-inch blade.
“The clerk did not resist, met the suspect’s demands and the suspect left on foot in an unknown direction,” Cyrus said.
Anyone with information about the robbery can call the Havelock Police Department at 447-3212.
