Early voting is wrapping up in advance of Tuesday’s Primary Election.
In Havelock, early voting is from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Friday and again from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Donna Comer State Farm Complex at 288 U.S. 70 West near the entrance to the Westbrooke subdivision.
On Tuesday for Election Day, both Havelock East and West precinct voters will cast ballots at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Other area polling places include the Harlowe Community Center and the Township Six fire station on Carolina Pines Boulevard.
Various Republican and Democratic races are on the ballot, including county commissioner, U.S. House, U.S. Senate and N.C. Senate, in which three Democrats — Carroll Ipock, Fernie Jermoe Hymon and Dorothea W. White — are running to face Republican incumbent Norman Sanderson in November.
Two Democrats, incumbent Jerry Monette and Eric Smith, and two Republicans, Fred “Chip” Hughes and Ernest Thomas, are seeking to be Craven County sheriff.
