Police seek Javon Ward, while victim Stevn Todd is in fair condition after being shot five times

Ward is described as black, 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds. He has a tattoo of the word “Savage” above his right eye, a teardrop tattoo near his left eye and a tattoo of the letters “MOB” near his right eye. Ward is thought to be hiding in the Newport or Havelock area.

“Ward should be considered armed and dangerous,” Cyrus said in a release. “Individuals should not attempt to apprehend Ward.”

Ward spent 16 months in jail on two counts of felonious common law robbery. He was released June 15, 2010. Ward also has convictions for misdemeanor assault and battery and driving while license revoked.

Information may also be given to the Craven County CrimeStoppers at 633-5141. Information resulting in the arrest of Ward could result in a cash award of up $1,000.
