Rachel’s Challenge, a national program emphasizing kindness and compassion for youth, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Havelock High School Performing Arts Center.
The event is free and open to parents and children in grades six and up.
The program was inspired by the writings of Rachel Joy Scott, who at 17 was killed during the mass shooting at Columbine High School in 1999. It is designed to motivate and bring positive change to young people.
