The group Jupiter Jones is scheduled to perform as part of the Alive at Five concert series from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jaycee Park in Morehead City.
The five-piece band has been named Best Band in Greenville’s Mixer Magazine for three straight years. The group plays a variety of rock, country and beach music, with classics from the 1980s and 1990s as well as some dance music and oldies mixed in. The band uses violins, guitars and keyboards, as well as both male and female singers to produce a variety of sounds.
The concert is free and open to the public. Outside beverages and coolers are not permitted as beverages will be available on site.
Jaycee Park is located at 807 Shepard St., in Morehead City.
Meanwhile, the Band of Oz, originally scheduled to perform Aug. 1, has been rescheduled for Oct. 8 as the final show in the series.
